Once again i've decided to reshade an old drawing I didn't like. And of all my drawings my iron man was the one i liked the least, but ironically it was the my most popular one with the most views and fav's though. And I know some people will prefer the original over this one, but for me this is how how I originally wanted it to look (but to be honest i don't like either one). The main difference is the overall shading and background which is alot darker now. So for better or worst i took the plunge and did it, luckily i still have the original scan, just in case.
The drawing was done on A3 Bristol Board paper using standard and mechanical graphite pencils and white gel pen for the stars.
My name is Francisco Martinez. I am an art student at appalachian state university. I am required to pick out a master drawing for a project I am working on. I would like to use your piece for this project. The Tony Stark one with his helmet half off is the piece I would like to use. All I need is your permission. Please get back to me at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
My least favourite is defintely my 'alien' drawing, even though the head is good the rest is a mess. And my favourites are my 'spiderman', because of the amount of detail i got in it. And my 'robocop' as it was the first ever full graphite drawing i'd ever done, and is also one of my favourite movies to.
OH MY GAWD the first graphite drawing and it was that good!? thats CRAZY, what did you do before graphite drawing? a mess? Sister plz, the entire picture is perfect Ohhh yes the Spiderman picture is definitely epic, thats one of my favorites as well!
Thanks alot for the feedback, I used to use pens alot before hence my name. And i am very hard on myself as i want to be one of the best on DA, like my favourite artist 'Angelstorm-82' Who blows my work out of the water. But i'm a very determined individual, so will continue to push myself until i'm up to that standard.
Building confidence in your abilities as an artist takes time and patience, If you’re constantly comparing your work to other artists, you’re always going to find faults. Remember that you a NOT these other artists, you are you, and your work is unique and special because of your experiences and skills. Sometimes, when you feel your confidence really lacking, it can help to remind yourself why you’re doing this. Remember that even the most famous and talented artists doubt themselves at times, and that you’re strong enough and determined enough to push through the doubt to achieve your dreams. So you stay determined!
Wow, that was some real good advice, and i'll defintely take it on board. And I'm probably harder than i should be on myself, but i will hit my goal of being one of the best on DA, so i hope you enjoy the ride i'm gonna take to get there, XD.
Honestly I think it looks great, then again I've heard that an artist's biggest critic is the artist themself. I think it is just because as the artist you want it to look perfectly how you envisioned it and any flaws can get annoying.
Nice nice ! It looks much sharper and high definition. It looks darker and like the contrast has been increased which makes it look even more awesome. maybe the stars could have been more random but thats about it .
