Wolverine is one of my all time favoutite characters, and Hugh Jackmans wolverine in the x-men movies was spot on. So i decided to do a graphite drawing in honour of wolverine. I was also going to do a black background but decided not to at the last minute, as most other drawings of this pic have done that already, so i thought i would make it a bit different.
Here are some of my other 'fanart' graphite drawings.
The drawing was done on bristol board using standard and mechanical graphite pencils.
I am a HUGE fan of Wolverine and have always wondered how Hugh Jackman's face managed to resemble the face of the comic character so well. I must say that you really have done justice to this kickass character. I really like the way you set his expression into one of confidence. He seems to be taunting the viewer by raising his eyebrow and displaying his claws. I was disappointed that they did not give him his classic suit in the movie but this is fine to. I have absolutely no negative comments or suggestions to make about this picture . It's just perfect the way it is... Great job...
Great job! The likeness is uncanny. The level of detail in the hair, sideburns and stubble is insanely intricate. The facial expression is dead-on, down to the raised eyebrow with the wrinkle above it. The anatomy and shading is superb. You definitely captured the spirit of Wolverine here. I'd like to see a slightly zoomed out version to see the rest of the hair, as well as the edges of the claws, but that's really just a personal preference. Overall, it's a great piece, I can only imagine how long you spent on it with such an attention to detail, down to the X logo on the neck of the jacket. Keep it up!
Great job...
